It's Here! The craziest shopping season of the year, has begun! Let's face it, getting up at midnight to race in line before the stores open, is fun; sometimes. Wouldn't you rather stay home, snuggle in your nice warm PJ's, have a hot pot of coffee ready and shop online? Yeah, me too! So, let's get started!

A couple of weeks ago, I introduced you to The Brainy Store Company. It's a great company and they offer some of the neatest items for your Little's to play with! I'm hooked, honest! I really adore the fact that they develop toys that encourage the learning aspect of play.

Two new items have come to my attention and I'm excited to share them with you. First up, Glowberry Bears.

Glowberry Bears are snuggly, glowing, talking companions for your wee one. There is Summer Lightly and Twinkleton. Both bears have a tummy that lights up and they talk. Your child can talk to the bear (Bear to Child mode) OR both bears can talk to each other (Bear to Bear mode). They are made of a very soft plush and have cute little jammies. And their giggle is so cute and contagious! :-)


Next up, we have Flashcar Friends! These are one of my new favorite toys! Available in four different vehicles, Flashcar Friends are wooden toys that are made with built in flashcards. Fantastic, right?!


There is Aerial the Shapes & Colors Airplane, Sadie the ABC's School Bus, Flash the Animals Firetruck, and Rudy the 123's Recycling Truck. Each vehicle comes with 26 wooden cards that make up the body of the vehicle. As noted above, each vehicle also represents a different set of flashcards.

The flashcards stay put, too. And if your Little's are anything like mine, these wooden toys seem to be holding up quite well.

Christmas Parade 2011 | Santa Has Arrived

While I really don't like the Christmas decorations coming out on November 1st, the parade is always a hit with The Littles. I mean, really, Santa arrives on a "rocket sleigh"!

Handsome has been sick, so he stayed home with Daddy. The girls and I donned our warmest threads and walked down to find a spot on the curb. The wind was fierce, but there was candy and that made it all worth it. haha!



All of the vehicles in the parade are covered in lights and sounds of the season. It's quite the shiny event.

Now, back to celebrating the Turkey! :-)

October Summary | Pumpkin Patch and Halloween

October was a busy month for all of us. Between work and events for The Littles, we were rushed to actually enjoy the first month of Fall.

The Pumpkin Patch was one of those rushed events. We still made the best of it and the kids had a good time. They fed the animals, saw the baby cow, played on the slides and ran through the corn maze in record time. :)

Then came Halloween! I was Room Mom for Izzy's class this year. It went very well and I loved the little craft we did. :) I think Izzy was glad that I was there and she really enjoyed being the "chosen one" to help me. :) The Littles were all very excited to Trick or Treat, even Alexander. They went for about 2.5 hours and scored a huge loot. The weather was actually very good this year too, maybe high fifties at dark, which made the experience good as well.

I failed to take very many photos of them in their costumes, again, so busy! lol!

We hope everyone had a great month and a very happy Halloween!

And yes, Even with The Handsome Husband not feeling well, he did dress his traditional Zombie. Daddy looked scary and hobbled around with us for a bit before calling it quits. :)

Now, on to the month of November, where the food is awesome and the turkey's gobble. :)
