11 More Sleeps...
The doctor's appt today was rather uneventful. Alexander's HR has been slowing each week, today it was 134 bpm. It used to stay up in the high 140's, but even with his rapid movements and jabbing rolls, he's chilling out and apparently in no rush to make an exit. :) One more check up next week and then...we deliver on the following Monday! Yay!
So, while we were in the doctors office, the nurse tried to make chit chat with the girls. The nurse was a little shocked when they wouldn't talk to her, but it takes a few moments for our little's to warm up to strangers. The nurse tried again with a, "So are you going to share your toys with your new baby brother?"
Laying naked on a table with nothing but a sheet, I still burst out laughing. I responded for them when their lack of silence made the nurse laugh. "They don't share with each other so I'm not holding out for that one."
Maybe for the first week or so, but after that, I think they are gonna go back to being the girlies they are. It won't be until he can take their toys and blame them for his owies that Izabel and Emily will take note. haha! Or, is it the other way around? LOL!

It's the Final Countdown...
13 days to go until Baby Alexander will be making his appearance. Less then two weeks and we will be a family of five. It all seems to have taken such a long time and yet, here we are, more than ready.
The tiny blue blankets are folded under the bassinet and the itty bitty socks are balled up and ready for tiny little toes. The girls are practicing their diaper changing skills (haha) and arguing over who will get to hold him first. Soon, we will be bringing home our little boy and baby brother.
In an attempt to make things more interesting, I wanted to share some photos of our Princesses shortly after birth AND have a little contest. First, our little girls.
Izabel, born in February 2006. She weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces, and was 18.5 inches long.
Emily, born in November 2007. She weighed 7 pounds and 1 ounce, and was 18.75 inches long.
And now, for the contest. We already know, unless Alexander changes his mind, that we will be delivering on the 9th. The question is, how much do you think Alexander will weigh and measure? Pounds, Ounces and Inches. Take a guess! =)

My Maternity Photo Session
Friends and Family, I had the opportunity to meet with the fabulous Carrie to have my very own maternity photo shoot done. A miracle in itself that I willingly set myself up to be photographed. LOL!
After dropping the Princesses off with the grandparents, Greg and I headed off on a two hour drive to meet with Carrie. It was just over 100 degrees and I was dripping like a faucet. hahaha!
It was wonderful and we are so very pleased with the preview of photos from the session. I couldn't recommend Carrie more for your photo session needs. She's funny and easy going and very well prepared for each session. If you are ever in the area, make sure to book an appointment with her!
So, March your little mice over to Carrie Evans Photography and have a look at our session! Enjoy!
