Introducing...

Busy doesn't even begin to describe how the last few weeks have been. All of sudden, there wasn't much time to even sleep.

So, I apologize for being so late on all the news you've been waiting to here. There is lots to share and a winner to announce.

First off, Emily had her first Dentist appointment last week. She was very excited to go and Izabel helped keep her focus on the good parts. She was a real trooper going in but still wanted to squirm a little during the exam. Not nerves really, but there were so many other things to look at. hahaha!
She does have some areas that need attention. Not as bad as Izzy's first check up was, but still enough to show concern. They have scheduled her for dental surgery in May.

Izzy continues to attend ballet classes and her recital is approaching very fast. She seems to be enjoying it quite a bit but I am not sure if she will want to continue after this season.

I attended another ultrasound last Friday to check on our little Gummy Bear. It was one of the longest appointments ever in the history of all three of my pregnancy's. LOL! Eventually I made it back to the office and got to go in and see my little GB.
Baby Jack #3

The baby looks great and is growing quite well. GB weighed in at 10 ounces solid. Kidneys, bladder, heart, spine and brain all looked great as well. It was so good to listen to the heart rate, which came in at 162bpm.

While we did check all of those extra special phycial aspects out, it actually happened much later in the appointment. The first thing that popped up on the screen when the tech put the wand to my tummy, was this...

Yes, Gummy Bear is a BOY who had no problem's with modesty. I was shocked and asked the tech over and over again if she was sure. lol! I was honest-to-goodness sure it was a girl. Everyone is very excited to bring a boy into our family. Even my little Princesses are starting to accept the fact that this little baby isn't a girl.

We have names circling and I am honestly saddened that I can't call him by a name yet. With both girls we knew the name before we knew their gender. Hopefully I'll be able to call him his name soon, which of course I will share with you.

Winner of the $20.00 Starbucks gift card is: Stefanie at Lexie Loo & Dylan Too
Stefanie, send me your info so that I can get that out to you! :)

Thank you for your patience and sharing this moment with us. Come back tmrw for another great and relaxing giveaway!

The weather really is warming up and I think Spring is ready to push Winter out of the way. This past weekend was fabulous and we spent every minute we could outdoors. The smell of the grill, the breeze in the night, listening to the sounds with the girls and a glass of wine. Oh, wait, no wine for me. Haha! We hope you are enjoying your sunshine as much as we are ours.

Baby #3 Update

I still cannot believe that I will soon be the mother of three children. The time seems to be slowly ticking by for this third pregnancy. Besides the loss of energy and being more tired, I really don't feel pregnant. LOL! The baby belly is surely showing though and as soon as I can muster some courage, I may post some photos.

As for all of the numbers and such, everything looks good. We had two appointments in February. The first was with our genetic counselor. Each pregnancy, The Handsome Husband and I have chosen to go through genetic counseling and non-invasive testing. Sequential Screening becomes more and more advanced each year.

With out backgrounds, history, super-technical ultrasound and blood work, my risk stands at about 1 in 10,000 right now. I will have the second round of testing next week that will finalize my numbers. Seuential Screening identifies markers for Down Syndrome, Trisomy 18 and Spina Bifida.

The above ultrasound photo was taken Feb 9th. It's a cell pic, but I will be uploading several more of the actual prints this week to Flickr. Gummy Bear is shown here lounging on it's back.

Gummy Bear took a moment to warm up to the tech and then GB was off and moving, waving, sucking hands and rolling around. Very active little baby! I can't wait to start feeling those movements. =)

The second appointment we had in February was a general monthly appointment. Everything looked and sounded great. Gummy Bear's heart rate came through loud and clear at 171bpm on the 9th and 160bpm on the 10th.

So, Baby #3 is doing great and having a grand ole' time in the oven. We have another appointment coming up in couple of weeks. This appointment we are going to try and determine the gender. The last sono we had done on the 9th, Gummy Bear would not cooperate. GB kept it's legs closed, very tightly. hahaha!

To make things more interesting, I'm going to have a contest! Here's how to play:

1. Leave me a comment with what GENDER you think Baby#3 will be. (Girl or Boy)

2. If you are a Facebook Friend, you can have another entry. You can guess the same or pick the other. Leave another comment here letting me know you are a FB friend and your guess.

On March 20th, I will gather up all of the correct answers and draw a name. Winner will receive a $20.00 giftcard to Starbucks!

You want my thoughts? I think Baby#3 will make Baby Girl #3. =)
