PhotoStory Friday - Two Inches and Bangs
Izabel had her hair cut this evening. A big girl hair cut. Bangs and two inches off the back. *sigh*
This is the most she's ever had cut off in the 3 years and 7 months of her life.
I was nervous and butterflies swam in my stomach as the scissors cut away the strands. I survived though and we really like her new style. Izzy likes it too, thankfully. On the way to the salon, she said she didn't want her hair cut because she wouldn't be pretty anymore.
I beg to differ. Not even two inches and bangs could ever make her less of a beautiful princess.

PhotoStory Friday - Sisterhood
The girls have always gotten along well and adored each other in their own way.
This photo is one of the first few I have of them together, Circa 12/2007.
It's day's like today (and yesterday, and possibly the day before) that I hope they remember they are sisters and that they share a very special bond. As they continue to grow together, I want them to realize that they have each other. I want them to realize that they will need each other.
Until all of that comes to them, I just want them to be nice to one another. lol!!
Huge thanks and love to Cecily for giving me the opportunity to host PhotoStory Friday this week! *hugs*

Random Princess Updates
The girls have both been to the doctor in the last week, for colds. They have been so kind as to share with Mommy and Daddy. We are all sniffling and sneezing and keeping our throats cool with Jello-O, but we have also been pretty busy.
Photo Sessions are going pretty well with over a dozen scheduled for the next few weeks. Not to mention a big opportunity came my way. I hope it all works out too so that I can share it.
We are going to be traveling soon to catch up with family and do some out of state photo sessions as well. I hope we can all be healthy and snot free by then. :)

The good thing about the girls being slightly sick; I had a chance to get their weights checked. Izabel came in at 36 pounds. Finally up 4 pounds from the Spring. Emily is catching up, weighing in at 32 pounds. It's hard to believe that. Not to mention, 4 more pounds and Izzy can step up to a booster instead of the full blown car seat. Such milestones to look forward to.
We've been playing at the park, even with our colds. The fresh air does them good. It's been very nice here in the Midwest, so we are taking advantage. Soon enough snow will cover everything.
Emmy is still rocking on with the potty training. Her Pedi was so impressed and couldn't get enough of Emily. Complimenting how well spoken she is and what she knows and how great to be in panties. Emmy speaks in full sentences most of the time and uses contractions and the correct tense in most cases. We are so proud of Emily and also proud of Izabel for being such a great influence.
Izabel is busy with her art most days. Coloring and drawing, sketching and painting. Did I mention she really hates to use crayons? I just recently started noticing that she prefers anything over a crayon. I've been meaning to post some of her work.
Izzy is also a commercial fanatic. Seriously, this girl wants everything. I told her to keep writing things down on her Christmas list because she would have to ask Santa. Bendaroos seem to make the top of the list everyday. Crazy stuff I tell you!
We hope everyone is enjoying the Summer's end as well. I have a few giveaway's to get up soon, so be on the look out for those. :)

Oh Where, Oh Where Does The Time Go?
Being busy the last few days is a huge understatement, not to mention I really can't account for all of that busy time either.
If it didn't sound completely abnormal, I'd have to say this: How can you be doing nothing but be so busy?
Well, whatever the means of being busy are, we have been. The girls and I have been doing laundry like there is no tmrw, rearranging toys and furniture for their room and trying to get into the swing of things for our upcoming travels.
I've also been spending a large amount of my time editing photos from the photo sessions I've had. I am overjoyed by the response my new little business has received. With the help of friends, family and word of mouth, I have six sessions in the next couple of weeks. Three of which are weddings. I did my first maternity session yesterday. A fabulous subject and The perfect belly.
I did a few couple shots, children and maternity all in one session. Amazing how much fun it can be!
The girls are doing fabulous. Emmy is in panties all day and using the big potty wonderfully. She's been fighting her naps lately. I believe it was around 2 years that Izabel stopped napping as well. Sounds like there will be less quiet time in my near future. lol!
Izzy is also doing great. She's writing words and sounding out letters. She loves to play games a lot lately too. She's growing up so fast and loves wearing lip-gloss.
And of course, we've spent a lot of time at the park.
We've been busy but in a good way. I hope you have too. Enjoy!

Field of Flowers

“Love is like wildflowers; it's often found in the most unlikely places." -Unknown
You know your mother is insane when she pulls over on the side of a highway, takes you out of your car seats and throws you in a field of flowers that tower over your head, JUST so she can get a few photos.
Little did she know the field was actually flooded with water beneath those pretty yellow bursts of color.
Mommy fell. We left.
She was still able to capture a few, making her fall worth it. :)
